Our Dealer’s Best Cars – Under $10k Edition

Almost everyone has a dream car. For most people it’s not something easily attainable. For me, it would be a Jaguar Series-1 XKE. Unfortunately, I don’t have $100,000+ to spend on a car I’d be to scared to drive most days. Fortunately, not all hope is lost. Today on Our Dealer’s Best Cars let’s look at some awesome wheels that can be picked up for under $10,000. That’s fist car prices!

First up, let’s check out this 2004 Mazda RX-8 from Depot Auto Sales. The RX-8 was the most recent in Mazda’s long history of rotary powered sports cars. Rotary engines are known for getting a lot of power in a small lightweight package. The 2004 RX-8 posts sub 6-seconds 0-60 times and is a fun sporty little package. The RX-8 also has 2 small rear seats to save you some on insurance and possibly haul your very short friends around. This one is especially awesome, sporting a manual transmission. It comes in well under $10k at $7500

Next up, we have a 2004 Ford Focus SVT from J&A Auto Sales. For anyone unfamiliar, SVT is short for Special Vehicle Team (Ford’s in-house performance team), and they’re also the ones responsible for the much beloved F-150 Lightning and The Mustang Cobra. While both of those opt for big supercharged V-8s, this one opts for a tunes up version of the Focus’s inline 4. It also sports bigger rims, an updated fascia, and recaro seats. It’s an all around fun car that can be had for just under $5,000.

Knoxville Auto Direct has some summertime top-down fun with this 2008 Volvo C70 T5. Volvo’s T5 engine is an awesome powerhouse. It puts out right around 230HP in a not terribly heavy car. On top of that it puts up some pretty decent fuel mileage, 27 mpg on the highway. Better yet, you can do it all with the wind in your hair. There’s nothing quite as nice as throwing the top down and cruising on a nice summer evening. The Volvo has some great swedish engineering in it’s top. It’s a hard top convertible, so it can also keep you warm in those icy scandinavian winters. All this at just under $10k, it’s a steal.

While my E-type dream may never come true, for under $10k you can get the late 90’s child of the XKE, like this 1997 Jaguar XK8 Coupe from Olathe Auto Ranch. There’s nothing quite like driving a big beautiful V8 powered British GT car. This car is absolutely stunning. A very pretty, very classic design. It may not be the fastest, or the best handling, but there’s is something very satisfying a big beautiful car like this.

Finally, if 4 wheels aren’t your thing, check out this 2 wheeled monster. This is a 2001 BMW R1150GS from Motorado. The R1150GS is an adventure bike that will take you to the end of the world and back. I mean that literally, Ewan McGreggor and a friend rode these bikes from London to NYC by way of Eastern Europe and Asia over the course of 3 months and almost 20,000 miles. They fixed the entire trip and turned it into a show. Check out the trailer below, and definitely watch the show! It’s on Netflix.
